A Phoenix Too Frequent: Brading Experience

Anyone who went along to the Ad Lib Theatre Co’s version of Terry Pratchett’s Night Watch will agree what a professional performance they gave. The acting was high class, costumes brilliant and setting second to none. There’s definitely something about outdoor performances that make a difference.

a phoenix too frequentWell if you missed that one, there’s another chance to experience the delights of open air theatre, this time at The Brading Experience with Christopher Fry’s A Phoenix Too Frequent.

It started this week and runs every Monday and Tuesday evening at 7.30pm until 12th September, so there’s plenty of time to catch it.

It’s a story of a corpse, his wife, and her handmaiden and is Christopher Fry’s salute to the meaning of life and death. His view … life is a poem and death is just the ending of a rather dull story.

This production will be anything but dull. Being held in the courtyard (whatever the weather), bring your own chair and for an extra fiver you can get a combination ticket to see The Brading Experience as well.

Booking is definitely advisable as this is going to be a popular one, you can call 407286 for more info.

Adults £5, OAP £4, Children £3. Special discounted combined tickets to visit Brading The Experience and see the play on a nominated day of your choice – Adult £10, OAP £8.50, Child £7.
