Seven Men Bailed As Investigation Continues Into Fight In Sandown

Following our report on Saturday of the large fight in Sandown on Friday night/Saturday morning, this in from the Police. In their own words. Ed

Police can confirm they were called to reports of a fight involving around 20 people in the Victoria Road area of Sandown on the Isle of Wight shortly before 3am on the morning of Saturday, September 3, 2011.

At least two people were reported to have received serious injuries, which were not life-threatening.

Seven men, aged between 19 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of affray and violent disorder.

These seven suspects, which included four from Surrey and three from the Isle of Wight, were all questioned and bailed until November 1, 2011 pending further enquiries.
