Funding boost for Foodbank thanks to BAE employees

Thanks to Sarah from IW foodbank for this latest news. In her own words. Ed

The BAE Employees Charity Committee donated an incredible two trolley loads of food and a very generous cheque of £250 to Isle of Wight Foodbank just before Christmas.

Phil Clark and colleagues representing the committee visited our HQ in Cowes to present the cheque along with the food. Phil said that the BAE Employees Charity Committee are very supportive of IW Foodbank as we are an IW charity for IW people. The donations had come directly from the employees at the Cowes site and not from the company itself.

No Money + No Food = Crisis
Hannah King from IW Foodbank said, “We are so very grateful for the generous donations of both food and money made by the committee. Without such donations and our own fundraising events we would not be able to continue due to the fact that we are completely self-funding.

“The need for our provision is increasing with numbers of people in Crisis over the seasonal period higher than ever before. No Money + No Food = Crisis.”
