Yes folks, it’s that time of year already.
The week-long, super-massive annual Shanklin Rotary sale started at 10am today at Park Resorts, Lower Hyde, Shanklin. in 2012 the Sale raised over £46,000 for local charities.
We popped in there this morning at 8am to find out how it was all going and, as those who have attended the sale before will not be surprised, there were people outside queueing already, determined to get the first pick of the items inside the Aladdin’s Cave. Given the chill in the air this morning, that’s extra hardcore.
Amazing collection of items
The ladies and gents of the Rotary club have done there usual amazing job of collecting items throughout the year and conquered the task of laying out the items around the considerably-sized room.
If you like a bargain, we’ll see you down there. It runs for two weeks, full details on our events listing.
Best wishes to Tony
On a serious note, we were sorry to hear about the health of Tony Compton, a powerhouse behind the event in previous years, and wish him the speediest of recoveries.
