Further to the previous warning from the Met Office earlier in the week, they have upgraded the Yellow (be aware) alert for snow on Friday to Amber (be prepared).
The warning is valid from 0300 to 2100 Friday 18 January. This is followed by a Yellow alert for snow and ice from 0005 on Saturday to 1200 on Sunday.
Several of our Facebook followers have commented that snow has already arrived in different parts of the Island.
