Thanks to Krissy for this news from Way Forward. Ed
Way Forward received a cheque this week from Oscar Stretch. Every year Oscar decorates his house in Perowne Way in Sandown with hundreds of Christmas lights, and raises hundreds of pounds for local charities.
Way Forward provide seven days a week support for Islanders with physical and learning disabilities, autism and long term conditions. They run a range of activities from drama and art to cookery and sports – all aimed at building the skills and confidence needed to live as independently as possible.
“We are always looking at new activities which we can offer our users around the Island” explains Lee White, programme Lead for Way Forward. “We need a new mini bus to ensure we can provide transport so everyone has the opportunity to take part in as many activities as possible.”

Also raising money for Way Forward is Rob Evans, whose brother Lee is supported by the charity at at Downside Community Centre in Newport.
