
The Quay Arts Jazz Cafe returns this Friday (1 March) with multi-instrumentalist Gilad Atzmon.
His album Exile was the BBC jazz album of the year in 2003 and he’s been described by John Lewis from the Guardian as the “hardestgigging man in British jazz”.
Gilad has recorded nine albums to date, many often exploring political themes and the music of the Middle East.
Prior to the gig starting, the cafe is open for the usual Jazz Cafe supper. Full menu details are available over on Events OnTheWight.

The best jazzman in UK IMO. His range of styles and emotions is amazing. He has been a great influence on the British jazz scene in addition to his regular international tours.
Challenging stuff but,if you like to see the roof lift off, he’s your man. Not to be missed.
