The Isle of Arts Festival is now in its third year and having proved its success in attracting quality stand-up comedians, with the likes of Rich Hall, Sandi Toksvig and Phill Jupitus appearing in previous years, OnTheWight is proud to once again sponsor the headline act.
This year, of course, it’s none other than comedian, writer and actor, Alan Davies.
Life is a Pain
Alan, who’ll be sharing his ‘Life is a Pain’ show, started his career as a stand-up comedian back in the late 1980s, performing his first gig at Whitstable Labour Club in 1988 and has gone on to become a regular face on our TV screens.
You’ll know him as a permanent panel member on QI, as well as starring in the soon-to-return crime series, Jonathan Creek.
On his way to Ventnor
After a decade’s break from stand-up, Alan’s latest show has toured the world, from Edinburgh to Sydney, Auckland to London and next month he comes to Ventnor!
As today (6th March) is Alan’s birthday – Happy Birthday Alan – we felt it was a great time to announce our sponsorship.
Get your tickets before they sell out
Tickets (£23 each) are on sale now, and given that last year’s headline shows were a sell out, we’d recommend you snap yours up quickly.
