Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was indecently assaulted on her way to Newport Bus Station at around 7pm on Monday, March 18.

The 17-year-old girl was walking along the High Street near Castlehold Lane when she was grabbed from behind by a man. She managed to break free, but was left shaken by the incident.

Anyone with information can contact Newport Police Station by phoning 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
