We will be holding markets at Tesco’s Ryde on twelve Wednesday’s throughout the summer.

The markets will provide customers and visitors to the Island with an opportunity to buy fresh local produce mid week.

A full range of fresh meats, flavoured sausages, pies, breads, cakes, Island Cheeses, apple juices, chutneys and vegetables will be available and a range of seasonal plants including vegetable plants.

The first market is Wednesday 17th April 2013. The market starts at 10am, full details of all markets can be found on EventsOnTheWight.

I hope that doesn’t mean the loss of the Farmers’ market in the centre of Ryde. For those of us without cars and those who prefer to shop in town this is a valuable amenity.
