Isle of Arts Festival bring The Massive Violins to Ventnor

One of the things we love about the Isle of Arts Festival is the diversity of acts the organisers bring to the Isle of Wight and Ventnor.

On Saturday night next week, we look forward to checking out The Massive Violins.

This extraordinary band of seven singing cellists, will be performing their virtuoso versions of rock and pop classics at St Catherine’s Church, Ventnor on Saturday 20 April at 5.30 pm.

From Bohemian Rhapsody to Teenage Dirtbag
We hear that since they got together a couple of years ago, they’ve gone from strength to strength, wowing audiences in London with their musical expertise and joie de vivre, garnering rave reviews and loyal fans.

Expect classics of a different sort from Beach Boys to Britney Spears, Bohemian Rhapsody to Teenage Dirtbag, the Massive Violins offer a totally original type of entertainment and are a must-see item on the Arts Festival line-up. Book your tickets now.

Simon Amstell said, “I liked them a LOT” and Alison Steadman said “I LOVE the Massive Violins. Wherever they are I’ll seek them out.” See you in Ventnor next week then Alison and Simon!

Do check out The Massive Violins website – mousing over the portrait shots of each member of the band on the home page gives you a flavour of what to expect. We love it!
