Wayne Levin talks to OnTheWight (podcast)

Dimbola Museum and Galleries is currently hosting an exhibition by the internationally renowned underwater photographer, Wayne Levin.

Last month Wayne visited the Isle of Wight to launch the exhibition and give a talk about his work.

We were lucky enough to grab some time with Wayne after the talk and slideshow to find out more about his career.

30 year career
He now lives in Hawaii and most of his living comes from fine art photography, but Wayne has been taking exploring the underwater scene for over 30 years.

Our interview is just under 30 minutes and if you’re interested in photography, the ocean or just like keen to it’s worth a listen.

We explore Wayne’s career as a photographer and find out what inspires and interests him.

Fascinating anecdotes
He shares anecdotes about the incredible people that he’s met over the years whilst working under the water, as well revealing some of the technical and safety challenges (listen out for his scary encounter with an Oceanic White Tip Shark) he’s faced.

Have a listen

Wayne’s exhibition runs until 2 June 2013 at Dimbola Museum and Galleries, open daily from 10am-5pm.
