Witness appeal following motorcycle collision in East Cowes

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a motorcycle and a parked car.

The crash happened in Victoria Grove, East Cowes at 8.50pm on Saturday and involved a 125cc motorbike and a stationary blue Volkswagen Sharan.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old man from Newport was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport before being transferred via air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he remains today in a serious condition.

The Volkswagen was empty at the time of the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call Sgt Dave Sanderson on 101 quoting Operation Consist.
