Police are appealing for information following a burglary at an RSPCA charity shop in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.

Sometime between 1.30pm on Saturday, July 20 and 9.45am on Monday, July 22 the shop, which is located in Avenue Road, Freshwater, has been entered and a safe containing around £400 as well as a £40 worth of cash from a charity box has been stolen.

The safe is described as dark grey in colour and approx 18ins by 12ins.

If anyone witnessed anything suspicious in the area during those dates or has any details which may assist the police with their investigation please contact PC Mark Allen of Newport DCID by phoning 101.
