Find out how you can get involved with the Puckaster fundraising events

Friends of Puckaster have been very busy organising a range of events to help raise funds for those affected by the devastating fire that raged through Puckaster Close at the beginning of the month.

Musicians and therapists from across th Island touched by the news that those living at Puckaster have lost everything they own, have pledged their time and energy to help raise funds to share between the residents.

The list of events kick off on 5th April and so far we have details of events running until 13thh April, with more to follow.

The Online Auction
This online auction, being organised by Tracey Smith, runs on Facebook until 12th April.

Lots include original artwork as well as a wood carving by Paul Sivell.

Making a song and dance of it
The same night (5th April) why not pop along to the Unitarian Meeting House in Newport
to take part in the Kirtan.

An evening of song and dance to yogic call and response music with the Soul Garden Kirtan Band. Entry is just £5 for adults and children go free.

Relax at Healing Days
The following day (6th April) why not indulge yourself at the Healing day at the Lotus Tree studio in Newport? Healing rooms will be open between 1pm-5pm for sound therapy, Reiki, massage, reflexology and henna tattoos. There’ll be refreshments on sale and treatments are priced at £8 £5 per session.

If you miss that Healing day, there’s another chance on 12th April at the Rainbow Cafe (House of Om). Taking place between 10am-5pm, all sorts of therapies on offer including readings, drumming, art workshop, massage and reiki. All ages ages welcome to this family orientated event.

It’s a kinda magic
Once you’ve become blissed-out head over to the Buddle Inn in Niton for the Puckaster Aid benefit gig.

With live music from The Ohmz and Pinstripe as well as magic from Hux Huxley. Entrance is free but please give generously.

Retreat with yoga
The next day (13th April) you can recover at the Yoga day being held at the Anahata Yoga Studio. Taking place between 10am-4pm with Victoria Warner, Carol Macartney, Maitri Clare Vane Matthews Emma Spencer Goodier and Della Lubeck.

A day of yoga including floor based asanas, Sun salutations, Pranayama, Standing and balancing asanas, inversion and meditation and more.

More to come
There’ll also be Paranormal investigation events at The Buddle Inn and White Lion Niton as well as a Children’s Party in Niton including face painting, crafts, games, tea party and a take home signature cup cake for each child.

We also hear that a gig featuring MyKool Michael Bublé is planned. Details for the above to follow once confirmed.
