Mind-blowing Super Yacht overnighted in Portsmouth Harbour: Photos

Yesterday an incredible super yacht was moored in Portsmouth Harbour, in front of the Spinnaker Tower, between where the FastCat and Wightlink car ferries land.

Its size is simply staggering – five floors in total, 73m (239.50ft) long, 12.5m (41.01ft) wide and with a gross tonnage of 1,682 Tonnes.

Ferry size comparison
By way of comparison, it’s only four metres off the length of Wightlink’s St Cecilia and 11m longer than the Wight Light ferry.

As you can see below, the photos of it make Gunwharf Quays look small.

It set sail at just after 7:30 this morning and made its way to Guernsey (where else!) at its cruising speed, 14kts.

The winner of awards including ‘Best Displacement Motor Yacht’ in the World Superyacht Awards 2013, it sleeps up to 12 guests in six staterooms. It can also accommodate, onboard, a crew of up to 19.

Lots of toys
A list of its amenities are extensive and include:

At anchor Stabilizers; Gym; Sauna; Swimming Pool; Beach Club; Swimming Platform; Air Conditioning; Steam room; Massage Room; Jacuzzi (on deck); Lift (Elevator); Tender Garage; Underwater Lights; Air Conditioning; Stabilizers at Anchor; WiFi connection on board; Deck Jacuzzi; Gym/exercise equipment.

If you feel you need to leave this floating palace, on board it also has a Novurania 38 Chase Tender; Novurania 750 Launch Tender and four Jet-Skis.

Available for hire
If you’re tempted by the photos below, you too can hire it – You’ve only got to have a spare €550,000, to be in with a chance of hiring it for a week.

If you’re more in the market for buying something on the slightly more modest side, Simon at Southampton Yacht Brokers can help you out with some other incredible motor and sailing yachts.

You can be further amazed by looking at the Mogambo’s Website.

Thank yous
Many thanks to Tippers who brought it to our attention; to Brian O’Rourke and Southampton Yacht Brokers who allowed us to use their photos.

On the later photos, it’s worth paying attention to the size of the people in the photos, to try and get some idea of the enormous scale of the craft.
