Radio Soop

Double portions of SOOP at Isle of Arts Festival

You can get double helpings of the hilarious SOOP crew as they offer a crash course in spontaneous creativity (ie. an improvisation workshop) as well as a live improvised comedy show later in the day.

Improvisation workshop
Get on board with SOOP’s improvisation experts for a crash course in spontaneous creativity.

Using a variety of games, exercises and activities, SOOP will lead you through the basic skills of improvised comedy performance in a friendly, fear-free atmosphere with the focus on fun.

As well as being great for actors, improvisation is a superb confidence builder for anyone, whatever your background or experience. So come along, laugh and be amazed at what you can do as SOOP turn you into a spontaneous comedian before lunch time!

The workshop takes place on Monday 5 May from 11.30am at St Catherine’s Church. Tickets £5 each

Instant SOOP
Later in the day you can see those who tutored you doing their stuff live to an audience in the Baptist Church Hall.

Take a few actors, stir in a musician or two, dust generously with audience suggestions, serve it up with a witty and genial host and you have Instant SOOP, the award-winning live improvised comedy show where every performance is different because you provide the material!

It’s your life, just not as you know it!
In each show, they choose one lucky audience member who will have their own improvised biography created before their very eyes. SOOP’s energetic blend of sketches, spontaneous songs and long form improvisation is a recipe for high octane, hilarious entertainment where anything (and we mean ANYTHING) can happen!
