Police are appealing for information to an ongoing series of damages to parked vehicles in the Carisbrooke area of Newport.

This has been caused by a sharp instrument being used to deliberately puncture tyres.

Inspector Andy McDonald from Newport Safer Neighbourhoods Team said:

“Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused to car owners in this small residential area of Carisbrooke.

“This includes a number of repeat victims who have suffered a significant financial burden because of these crimes.

“Local Safer Neighbourhoods team have made house to house enquiries, but I am asking residents to be vigilant and report anything suspicious or any information relating to the incident to us on 101.”
