Have you taken part in the Big Butterfly Count?

Butterfly Conservation is calling on the help of Islanders to gather as much information as possible about butterfly sightings on the Isle of Wight.

It’s part of the Big Butterfly Count, a nationwide survey aimed at helping Butterfly Conservation assess the health of our environment.

It’s been running since 2010 and has become the world’s biggest survey of butterflies.

Butterfly expert Mike Dilger explains how to take part in the Big Butterfly Count in this short video. For more detail visit the official Website.

As readers will know, a rare butterfly was spotted on Island fairly recently by Mike Wilson.
