Isle of Wight 4G coverage: Mapped and compared (Updated Feb 2016)

Isle of Wight 4G coverage has improved since we first started monitoring it in 2014, but is still highly variable depending on which mobile provider you choose.

How did this come about?
Our reporting on this first started in July 2014 then OnTheWight reader Ronnie Tweeted:

From those early days of amazement at the speeds she was getting – 24Mbps down and 12Mbps up – this kind of coverage has become more normal.

After report that the providers coverage maps weren’t very reliable, we have switched to data from Ofcom, the UK’s telecom regulator. We now split out expected outside and inside coverage maps.

O2 didn’t make a make available and Three didn’t provide coverage.
