Police appeal following early morning assault in Ryde

Police investigating a fight outside a bar in Ryde on the Isle of Wight are appealing for help to identify a man.

Officers were called to Union Street outside Coburgs shortly before 2.50am on Sunday, September 21, 2014.

A 21-year-old man from Ryde was attacked by two men.

The assault left the victim with a serious head injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening.

Description of suspects
One man, aged 18, from Sandown, Isle of Wight was arrested on suspicion of assault, questioned by police, and released on bail until October 10, 2014.

A second suspect was described as:

White
Aged in his late teens to early 20s
5 ft 11 ins to 6 ft tall
Slim/skinny build
Dark short hair shaved close to back and sides
He was wearing a long-sleeved light grey/ blue top, light blue jeans, and white trainers.
