A free evening of Audio Visual Arts as part of The Fun Palace on Sunday 5th October between 6pm and 10pm in The Minghella Theatre Quay Arts

In between the re-scored silents at about 7pm and 8pm, for about 30 minutes a shot, MIST Moving Image will play a few unusual music based short films, and for the last hour there’ll be a no holds barred DJ and VJ-Fest.

The Kid – The Kid is a 1921 American silent comedy-drama film written by, produced by, directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin, and features Jackie Coogan as his adopted son and sidekick. This was Chaplin’s first full-length movie and ranks amongst his finest with the perfect balance between his incredible comedic skills and social commentary. The new re-score will feature contemporary music from a range of producers from around the world but still in keeping with the feel of Chaplin’s work of genius.

The Cabernet of Dr Caligari – The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is a 1920 German silent horror film directed by Robert Wiene. It is one of the most influential films of the German Expressionist movement and has been lebelled ‘The first true horror film’.
