Man stabbed with ‘fork in the head’

Police are appealing for information after an assault outside a pub in Cowes.

The incident happened at 10.30pm on Friday, 10 October outside the Painters Arms in Cowes.

Stabbed in the head
During the assault the 39-year-old victim was stabbed in the head with a fork.

The victim attended hospital where he was treated for two puncture wounds to his scalp.

Detective Constable Andrew Cooper, said:

“I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward and speak to us.”

Man on police bail
A 44-year-old man from Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of causing Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, and has been released on police bail until October 20.
