  • Business Support Investment Panel
  • Employment and Skills Delivery Panel
  • The Solent Growth Forum
  • Inward Investment Delivery Panel
  • Land, Property and Infrastructure Delivery Panel

The Solent LEP is seeking private sector representatives to join all of the above panels and, alongside welcoming applications from business leaders of all sectors and sizes, is especially keen to encourage applications from the commercial planning, financing and property, marine and maritime, aerospace, and financial services sectors.

Social enterprise, voluntary and community sector
As well as opportunities for the private sector, there are also opportunities for representatives of the social enterprise, voluntary and community sector to get involved in the work of the LEP on the Employment and Skills Delivery Panel, Bridging the Gap Investment Panel and Solent Growth Forum.

In addition to the Solent LEP panels, there is also an opportunity for a private sector representative to join the Solent Strategic Land and Infrastructure Board being established in Partnership with the Cabinet Office as part of the Solent Local Growth Deal. The Board will be tasked with preparing a joint asset strategy and a programme for the disposal and re-use or redevelopment of surplus land and property in the Solent.

A totally unique opportunity
Gary Jeffries, Chairman of Solent LEP, said:

“Being a Solent LEP panel member provides a totally unique opportunity for business and voluntary sector leaders to get involved in the future of the region. We are looking for driven and knowledgeable individuals to fill these roles and help us lead the Solent forward to greater economic prosperity.”

The Solent LEP is urging potential candidates to register their interest in any of the opportunities by submitting a CV to [email protected] by the deadline of Tuesday 11th November 2014. It is expected that new Panel Members will be appointed from early December.
