Pledge for Perri -

Bone marrow match desperately sought for Island baby

An appeal has been launched across the Isle of Wight and South East for a possible bone marrow donor who may be able to help save young Perri’s life.

Sadly, Perri’s cancer has not responded to the chemotherapy treatment she’s been receiving. Her Mother posted the following to Facebook over the weekend,

“We got called back over to Southampton today and received the devastating news that the chemo has not worked!

“My beautiful baby Perri has to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

“I have been tested today and my two other children will also be tested to see if they are a match. I beg everyone to help us if you are in a position to do this as you could save my daughter’s life.”

How to register
In order to register for possible bone marrow donation, you need to be in general good health, aged 18-55. Head over to Delete Blood Cancer website for more details.

Any 16 to 18 year olds who would like to register for a match can do so through the Anthony Nolan Trust.
