One of the most important influences on the UK Rock scene will soon be performing a concert on the Isle of Wight at the newly re-opened Ventnor Winter Gardens.

Dick Taylor (pictured below), a founder member of the Rolling Stones and still lead guitarist with The Pretty Things will be playing alongside a hand-picked group of musicians from the Mainland and the Isle of Wight.

The music will range from old time Rock & Roll, R&B, Chicago Blues and bottle neck compositions from the Mississippi Delta!

Still very active on the music scene
Dick is still playing all over the world and has been living on the Island since 1989. He spends a lot of his spare time encouraging and teaching people of all ages to play the guitar, including pupils at St Catherine’s School in Ventnor.

Special surprise guests
The concert will be a fantastic opportunity to see and hear a rock legend perform along with a string of surprise guest star appearances – including Phil May pictured (pictured at the top) – in a venue which is close to his heart and part of the history of The Pretty Things.

Where and when
The concert will take place in The Ventnor Winter Gardens on Friday 12th December at 9pm.

Tickets will be on sale shortly, but you can make your reservation now by calling the Ventnor Winter Gardens (01983 857757).
