Thanks to Tania Brierley for sharing news of this appeal from TS Osborne, Cowes Sea Cadet Unit. Ed

Across the UK, Sea Cadets support 14,000 young people annually to challenge themselves and learn new skills based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy to give them the best possible head start in life.

TS Osborne, Cowes Sea Cadet Unit offer exciting adventure activities aimed to develop social skills and responsibility in young people, and re-connect them with their maritime heritage. We want to help young people build confidence in their own abilities as they learn to work as part of a team.

Our qualified instructors guide young cadets so that they can flourish in challenging environments safely. Our Cadets regularly give up their time to participate in community fundraising activities, most recently Poppy selling.

Please cast your vote for the Cowes Sea Cadets and they might be in with a chance of winning £300.

The prize money will be used to to maintain and prepare watercraft over the winter months ready for training Cadets on the water in the Spring time.
