Thanks to Chris for this latest news from the Wessex Cancer Trust. Ed

Friday was the Christmas lunch at the Dandelion Cafe, Freshwater Bay for the over 40 Isle of Wight volunteers for the Wessex Cancer Trust. Many work in the Isle of Wight shops and others in sorting donations and fundraising.

A surprise addition to their 2014 total was the presentation of a cheque by Mr Wally Fever of Freshwater-based Needles Lodge of Freemasons.

Wally and a few of the ladies attending their lunch gathered around the Christmas Tree for the formal presentation of the cheque which will be put towards the Daisy Bus services.

The Daisy buses serve both Southampton and more recently Portsmouth and provide a free transport service to Isle of Wight residents travelling to chemotherapy sessions on the mainland.
