Finley collected cheque from Ryde Rowing Club

Ryde rowers help Finley’s Fund

Thanks to Steve for this latest news from Ryde Rowing Club. Ed

After a welcome and thanks from Club Captain Peter Allsopp, and a short presentation on the club’s activities and successes in 2014 – which included South Coast Championship open wins for the Men’s and Ladies Senior Fours and a Hants and Dorset ARA Championship for the Men’s Junior Senior Crew.

Funds for Finley
A presentation was made to Carole and Jason Morris – and of course Finley – for “Finley’s Fund” in support of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families and the only organisation to offer them all round care and support – clinical, practical and emotional, to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life.

Following various fund raising activities – the club was able to hand over a cheque for £300 to Finley to help the families local fund raising efforts for the charity that did so much to support them during Finley’s illness.
