Submit your questions in advance
Laura Franklin said:

“The main topic on the agenda will be ‘how the Constabulary is responding to local policing challenges in times of austerity’.

The meeting is being arranged to inform residents of what steps are being taken to ensure the Island remains a safe place to live, work and visit. To this end, we are encouraging residents to join us and to let us know of any questions in advance to enable the panellists to give full and open responses on the night.”

Ms Franklin concluded:

“There is a wealth of good work being carried out by the police and partners to protect island residents, and this forum enables the residents to find out more about this crucial work.”

Supt Fry added:

“As a provider of essential services to the people of the Isle of Wight, it is important that we keep them informed of what we are doing to keep them safe from harm and free from crime, especially during times of austerity when we have to review what we do and how we do it.

“This event provides an ideal platform to engage with residents and to respond to their concerns or queries. I would encourage residents to come along and share their views with us so that we meet their needs and expectations.”
