Naomi Foyle is a poet, novelist and political activist. She has written two sci-fi fantasy epics, Astra and Rook Song and the third novel in The Gaia Chronicles will be published in 2015.

Naomi will be looking at the role of birds, animals and plants in fantasy fiction and at character development, world building and what makes a great story.

This workshop has been organised by Elliott, the Isle of Wight Squad Ambassador.

New Writing South’s Squad Ambassadors are young writers aged 13-17 who are passionate about creative writing. Having taken part in the Writer Squad scheme, they have been selected to represent their region and be a spokesperson for the writers of tomorrow. Find out more about Writers Squads.
