Farmers young and old to swap the field for the pitch

The Isle of Wight Young Farmers Club, which was reformed last summer, is holding one of its first major events on Sunday 22nd March in the form of an ‘Old Farmers vs. Young Farmers’ Football Match.

Sons and fathers
The event will see two generations of the farming community go head to head to win the match, in some cases seeing family members from each generation playing against one another, some of those taking part including John, Richard and Tom Brownrigg, and John and Connor Russell (pictured).

Where and when
The event is being held in the sports ground of Rookley Village Hall, with kick off at 2pm.

Members of the public are very welcome with refreshments on offer, all donations going to the Isle of Wight Young Farmers Club.
