Travel disruption – 31 March 2015 (Update 3)

The strong winds (warned of yesterday) around the Isle of Wight are having an impact on transport currently.

Hovertravel
At 6:11am Hovertravel put out the following update

“31/03/2015 Our service is currently suspended due to adverse weather conditions. Hovertravel wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.Call 01983717717 for immediate service updates.”

Update 8.12:
Our Portsmouth Harbour – Ryde (catamaran service) is running a revised timetable with sailings departing at XX:15 from Portsmouth and XX:47 from Ryde because of high winds.

Update 7:50 The Lymington – Yarmouth (car ferry service) is on a ‘good service’ now, following ‘significant delays’ earlier on.

Catamaran – Update 7:32 “Our Portsmouth Harbour – Ryde (catamaran service) 0740 from Portsmouth is cancelled because of high winds”

One of the Catamarans on the Ryde-Portsmouth route is undergoing a refit until 1 April, so is under a revised timetable (PDF).
