Walk the Wight endorsed by Ben Fogle

This in from Lisa on behalf of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Ed

Ben heard about Walk the Wight – this year celebrating its 25th anniversary – from one of the production crew working on the yet-to-be screened new series of Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild.

Ben was unable to take part on the 10th May event because of his work commitments but sent organisers at the Earl Mountbatten Hospice a good luck message.

He said:

“It sounds like an absolutely fantastic event for an extremely good cause and I wish Walk the Wight every success on its 25thanniversary. Anything that encourages people to be active and to enjoy the Island’s wonderful countryside deserves support. I hope all those who take part have a fantastic day and that a lot of money is raised for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.”

Katie Radburn, corporate and major donor fundraiser, said:

“Everyone knows Ben is a very busy man so we were absolutely thrilled that he has taken the time to speak in support of Walk the Wight, particularly in such a big year for us.”
