Graduates’ success celebrated at ceremony

The event, attended by the Isle of Wight Lord Lieutenant, Major General Martin White, High Sheriff Claire Locke and the Leader of the Isle of Wight Council Jonathan Bacon, celebrated the achievements of learners who have:

  • progressed from a pre-employment or Traineeship programme on to an apprenticeship.
  • recently completed an Intermediate Apprentices and who have progressed to an Advanced Apprenticeship
  • recently completed an Advanced Apprentices
  • completed their Level 5 Diploma qualifications or Higher Apprenticeships in Management, Health and Social Care or Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector

Achievements recognised
The ceremony opened with an address by Rachael Fidler, HTP Training’s Managing Director who provided the background to HTP Training, congratulated graduates on their achievements and thanked employers for their support.

A video was shown that highlighted the breadth of Apprenticeships on the Island and the benefits these provide for young people and local businesses.

The Isle of Wight Lord-Lieutenant, Major General Martin White then spoke about the achievements of the graduates and praised HTP Training for the positive impact the company has made to the lives of local people.

The presentations
Training Managers Nicki Read, Di Kennett and Lisa Pilbeam gave an outline of each programme of study and introduced each candidate before presenting them with their certificate. The graduates were joined on the day by their family, friends and employers.

Rachael Fidler, HTP Training’s Managing Director said,

“It was wonderful to see everyone graduate today and to be able to acknowledge their hard work and commitment to training and development. I would like to thank all the employers, parents and guardians, the support they provide must not be underestimated.”
