This in from Jack at Ventnor Exchange, in his own words. Ed

This Saturday 18th April marks the biggest national event on the music calendar as independent record shops across the country celebrate Record Store Day 2015.

All welcome
The newly opened Ventnor Exchange, which combines a theatre, bar and record store in the town’s old Post Office on Church Street will be the only store on the Island to be taking part in this national celebration and in addition to stocking some of much sought after RSD vinyl releases will be hosting free live music, talks & film screenings throughout the day from 10am on into the evening.

The Ventnor Fringe Festival team, Red Squirrel Records and Headfunk will also be on hand spinning records throughout the day.

8th Record Store Day
2015 will see the eighth celebration of the UK’s unique independent sector. RSD is the one day that all of the independently owned record shops come together with artists to celebrate the art of music.

Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists across the globe make special appearances and performances.
