Big Events Series, Hillingdon
First to race was James Ebdon in the elite race. The race was one hour plus three laps of the one mile lap. After a blistering start, Ebdon did several turns on the front to chase down an early three man breakaway. Ebdon then maintained a good position in the pack to take a top 20 place at the finish.

Next to race were Matt Allsopp, Ian Hayden and Stu Waite. In their 50 minute plus three laps race, the trio worked well together, chasing down breakaways and attacking off the front.

After 12 laps the bell was rung for an intermediate sprint which Waite led Allsopp out for to win. Unfortunately Waite soon had a puncture and was unable to finish.

Allsopp and Hayden continued to work together. With 2 laps to go, Hayden attacked out of a corner and soon got a gap off the front on his own. Allsopp disrupted the chase and Hayden continued to go it alone, holding off the field to the line and took fifth place. Allsopp finished safely in the bunch close behind.
