Budding gardeners learn importance of food production at Eco Club

A group of young pupils at Ryde Academy have been getting their hands dirty and getting back to nature.

Members of the Ryde Academy Eco Club have not only been learning what it takes to grow their own produce, but also able to enjoy the sunshine at the after-school Gardening club too.

Nat Nelson from Ryde Academy tells us,

“Pupils have planted a range of vegetables and bee friendly flowers and are expecting the first crop of radishes shortly.

“They are also looking forward to cooking with their crop of potatoes, onions, leeks and carrots.”
