Ryde Arena - a nice ice rink

Financial boost for the Ryde Arena Trust

Ryde Arena Trust – the not-for-profit enterprise set up to save Ryde Arena the local ice rink from closure – has had two recent financial boosts.

The first from Ryde Town Council, who have pledged £10,000 from its reserves to help set up the Trust.

The second boost has come from the Isle of Wight Lottery who’ve agreed a £25,000 three year interest free loan.

Chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce, Kevin Wilson, said it was massively important for them to help the Trust given the potential loss of 24 jobs.
