Long distance walks

Why not try one of these challenging and interesting walks?

The Isle of Wight Long Distance Walking Association have a fantastically varied programme ahead of them this year.

Many of the planned walks have now been added to our event listings and they start with a 36 hour Round the Island Walk next weekend (6th and 7th June).

Beaches, Bars and Blisters
The Beaches, Bars and Blisters walk will be around 73 miles and is free to take part in. As you might expect, it’s intended for the more able amongst us, but there’s plenty of information on the IOW LDWA’s Website to check beforehand to make sure you fit the bill.

Solstice Night Walk
If you can’t make the can’t make the 36 hour walk, but will still like something equally challenging, how about the Solstice Night Walk on 20th June?

This 20 mile mystery night walk ends at the Longstone at 4am for a Solstice ceremony.

Check the programme
There are plenty of other walks, many much shorter, organised by the Isle of Wight Long Distance Walking Association.
