Police are releasing an e-fit image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a suspicious incident in the Esplanade and Spring Hill area of East Cowes on Friday (June 26), after a man allegedly exposed himself to three children some time between 5.30 and 6.30pm.

Three eight-year-old girls were playing in a park on East Cowes Esplanade when a man approached them to help him find his dog. The girls went into a wooded area with the man to look for the dog, when the man exposed himself.

None of the children were hurt in the incident.

Man arrested and released
A 50 year-old man from East Cowes who was arrested in relation to this incident was later released with no further action.

Police are now releasing an e-fit of the suspect, who is described as:

White man
In his 50s or 60s
About five feet nine-ten inches tall
Grey/brown, curly hair, which was just above his shoulders at the back and just under his ears at the side
Clean shaven
He was wearing light grey shorts that had pockets and were just below knee-length, walking shoes/boots and a green/grey hat, which was described as a ‘fisherman’s hat’, with a rim all the way round.
