Find out how to have a Desert Island Dinner with Robert Thompson for charity

Youth charity UKSA is the official Cowes Week charity and they bring you Desert Island Dinner – the ultimate fine dining experience and charity fundraiser.

UKSA is proud to have teamed up with renowned Michelin starred chef Robert Thompson and the Barton Manor Estate (which was once owned by Queen Victoria) to put together this exclusive package.

What’s on offer
Desert Island Dinner for ten people, available on Sunday, 9 August, and Monday, 10 August.

Collection by RIB from Trinity Landing or UKSA minibus at desired location. If you prefer, there is also a landing pad for helicopters (fly in from London in less than half an hour).

You will arrive at a spectacular location, a hidden gem on the Northern coastline of the Isle of Wight. This is an exclusive beach, part of the historic Barton Manor Estate, rivalling the neighbouring Osborne House beach.

Under canopy dining
This rustic location offers a wealth of secrets – at low tide there remains signs of the beach’s role in rehearsals for the D-Day landings.

It’s a designated SSSI and RAMSAR site and has seen few footprints, untouched as it is by members of the public. The beach is surrounded by a 202-acre estate and nature reserve with redwood and oak trees running all the way down to the beach.

Your dining experience will be set beneath these majestic giant trees and with views overlooking the Solent.

On arrival you will enjoy a Champagne reception prior to the meal.

Michelin starred chef
Renowned chef Robert Thompson will cook onsite, creating a taster menu of exquisite delights and culinary sensations primarily focused on local seafood and inspired by the setting.

Following your evening of fine dining, you will be returned to your desired location by RIB or minibus (or feel free to use the helipad)!

Back to Work programmes
UKSA is raising money during the 2015 regatta to put 100 young people through their successful motivational Back to Work programmes. You could entertain to impress this Cowes Week, and help a local charity at the same time.

Desert Island Dinner is designed to be a memorable, unique and impressive occasion, perfect for corporate clients or an alternative night out with a difference for family and friends.
