Call or text the Dreamline and your dreams could become part of art show

OnTheWight has always been very impressed with the quality of work produced by The Undecided Art Collective (UAC). They’re a group of Isle of Wight contemporary artists who come together at least twice a year to stage an exhibition of their work.

This year OnTheWight is working with the UAC to help bring a new dimension to their latest show (the tenth), due to be held during the Ventnor Fringe Festival in August.

The Dreamline
Working with Rachael Berry, the amazingly incredible hyper-realist artist who is spearheading the project, OnTheWight is powering what’s been named Dreamline – a dedicated answerphone service where you can share your dreams, however far-out, bizarre or boring, any time of the day or night.

The UAC artists will work their way through the Dreamline messages, which will hopefully act as inspiration for artists, musicians, film-makers, etc producing work for the August show.

How to share your dreams
Rachael has very helpfully put together some tips and advice for anyone wishing to share their dreams with the project.

Simply call (or text) and leave a message after the harp sounds. The adventures of your sleeping brain might end up somewhere in our show in the form of awesome artwork by more than 20 exciting emerging Artists including animators, painters, film-makers, musicians, computer scientists, textile artists, photographers, printmakers, puppeteers and more.

Calls are charged at a local rate and each message you leave can be up to five minutes long.

You can remain anonymous or leave your name/mission statement/what you had for dinner if you like.

There’s a chance that the actual recorded voice files might be used in the show either in part or in full so please say if you’d rather they weren’t and we’ll make sure that they’re not.

If you’d prefer to send a text, that works too (and sounds really cool) or you can email us at [email protected].

So what are you waiting for? Get the Dreamline added to your contacts and when you wake in the morning, call the Dreamline with your dream.
