Anne Dearle and Operation Medina Cover

Cowes author imagines an occupied Isle of Wight during World War II

An Isle of Wight author, known for her children’s adventure stories has just published a new title this month for adults.

Operation Medina is a ‘What if’ story telling of events in World War II, imagining the Isle of Wight had been invaded and occupied by German forces.

Anne told OnTheWight she’s always been fascinated by the plight of the Channel Islands under enemy occupation during WWII, so came up with a story about the Isle of Wight in the same situation.

The book was published at the beginning of July and is available on Amazon. You can also see Anne’s other books there too.

From 1st August it will also be on sale at ‘Chivertons of Cowes’.

Anne lives in Cowes and this is her second book for adults, following the publication of nine children’s adventure stories.
