The Trustees, Governors and College leadership teams are delighted to announce that the year on year improvements in the standards achieved at the VI Form Campus have continued to rise. Additionally, in key academic measures, results are now in excess of national averages and expectations.

Richard Williams, Head of Federation commented,

“The average individual grade achieved by students at the VI Form Campus is now higher than the national average and the overall pass rate is also in excess of national expectations.

“This is the clearest indication that the VI Form Campus is now firmly established as the premier post-16 academic provider on the Island. We offer the widest range of quality A Level courses and are ideally located right in the centre of the Island.”

Karen Begley, Head of the VI Form Campus said she was delighted with some of the individual results that have been achieved.

“We have students going on from the Island to follow a wide range of university courses including Medicine, Law and accounting and accessing the top Russell Group Universities across the country.”

Peter Shaw, Head of Carisbrooke College offered his

“Heartfelt congratulations to all students on their achievements and thanked parents and staff for all their support and hard work.”

Adding,

“Not only are these results the product of hard and sustained work over the last two years, but they also reflect the solid academic foundations that students had gained in Key Stage Four.”

Joe Finch, Chair of Governors said,

“The Governing body are extremely pleased with this set of results and some fantastic individual success stories. These results echo our confidence in a strong leadership team which has helped to drive forward aspiration amongst our 16-18 year olds. With these results and recent Ofsted inspections and consultation by the local authority, we are proud to be at the heart of 16-19 provision on the Island and look
forward to working collaboratively with other providers in the coming years for the benefit of the whole Island.”
