Sail sky high to see on the edge, close racing action (aerial video)

Sailors from around the world, including the Isle of Wight, took part in a sailing event last Sunday in memory of the late Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson.

Money was being raised for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, the charity set up in 2013 to honour the life and legacy of Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson MBE, Olympic Gold & Silver medalist and America’s Cup Sailor by using sailing to transform the lives of young people.

Aerial footage
On the Isle of Wight, Seb Godsmark was out with his DJI Phantom 2 and GoPro Hero 4 capturing aerial drone footage at Gurnard Sailing Club.

Seb caught some fantastic footage from the skies of the racing out on the Solent.

There were some incredibly close shaves and the footage really captures the essence of the day.

Full screen and HD it for best results.
