Did you witness Wootton collision involving elderly pedestrian?

We are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic incident involving a 93-year-old pedestrian and a silver Nissan Micra on Lushington Hill at 3.46 on Thursday, November 5.

It was reported that the Micra collided with the 93-year-old woman as she was crossing the road.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. They are assisting officers with their enquiries.

The elderly woman was taken to St Mary’s hospital where she is currently being treated for injuries to her head, back and legs. Her injuries are not deemed life threatening.

Police Constable Martin Norman of the Roads Policing Unit said:

“We are urging anyone who saw this collision to get in contact and assist us in establishing the exact circumstances surrounding this incident. Please call 101 and quote 44150385284.”
