APSE HEATH:
A3056 Newport Road (from Apse Heath Mini Roundabout to a point 120 metres towards Arretton). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 29 February and Wednesday 2 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3056 Newport Road (outside Nimotnor approx. 90 metres Arreton side of Apse Heath Mini Roundabout). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 15 February Wednesday 17 February for drainage works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3056 Newport Road (at Apse Heath Mini Roundabout). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 15 February Wednesday 17 February for carriage way repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ARRETON:
A3056 Sandown Road (Merstone Lane to the western boundary of 1 Pyle Cottages)
A temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be in operation when required between 6.30pm on Friday 8 January 2016 and 6.30am on Friday 12 February 2016 for safety barrier replacement by Island Roads.Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation.
BINSTEAD:
A3054 Binstead Road (outside Gwyder House and Gwyder Close). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on each evening from 7.30pm until 11pm on Wednesday 10 February, Thursday 11 February and Friday 12 February 2016 for carriageway repairs by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
BONCHURCH:
Balaambs Passage footpath will be closed Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 8.30pm on Friday 8 January until 8.30pm on Friday 29 July 2016 between Bonchurch Village Road and The Pitts. The route for pedestrians will be: Bonchurch Village Road, Bonchurch Shute and The Pitts. The road closure is required until retaining wall repair works have been undertaken.
Bonchurch Village Road will be closed from 8am until 4pm on Wednesday 3 February 2016, between Shore Road and East Dene Lane. The route for diverted traffic will be: Bonchurch Village Road, St Boniface Road, A3055 Leeson Road and Bonchurch Shute. The road closure is for telephone pole replacement works.
BRADING:
West Lane, Brading will be closed from 9am until 6pm on EACH DAY MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS between Tuesday 26 January and Monday 1 February 2016, between Doctors Lane and Harding Shute. The road will be open to traffic at other times. The route for diverted traffic when the road is closed will be: Coach Lane, A3055 High Street and New Road, Hornsey Rise, The Mall, Bully’s Hill, Brading Down Road, Ashey Road and Green Lane. The closure is required due to urgent drainage and kerbing works at the Doctors Lane junction by Island Roads.
CARISBROOKE:
Millers Lane, Carisbrooke will be closed from 8am on Monday 25 January 2016 until 5pm on Friday 5 February 2016 between Castle Lane and Clatterford Shute. The route for diverted traffic will be: Castle Lane, Castle Hill, Cedar Hill, B3323 High Street, Clatterford Road and Clatterford Shute. The road closure is required due to building works outside number 54 by A M Builders for the Isle of Wight Council.
Castle Street (Outside 16). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Tuesday 1 March until 4.30pm on Monday 7 March 2016 for the installation of a new gas service by Southern Gas Networks. Traffic delays will occur.
CHILLERTON:
Main Road (between Loose End and Thistle Down. Near Primary school). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times from 9am until 3.30pm on Monday 1 February 2016 for cable works by British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.
COWES:
Newport Road will be closed from approx. 9am on Wednesday 13 January 2016 until 4pm on Thursday 24 March 2016 between Three Gates Road and Nodes Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new 450mm size water main. The route for diverted traffic will be: Three Gates Road, Place Road and Nodes Road. The works form part of a new water main project between Three Gates Road, along Newport Road to the Newport side of Northwood traffic lights.
Gordon Road will be closed from 9am on Monday 1 February until 6pm on Monday 8 February between Mill Hill Road and Beckford Road. The route for diverted traffic will be: Mill Hill Road, Victoria Road and St Marys Road. The road closure is for the replacement of a sewer frame and cover outside number 75 by P Fitzsimmons Dyno Rod.
Park Road (outside 206 at junction with Firs Close). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Wednesday 3 February and Friday 5 February 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
APSE HEATH:
Wilmingham Lane, Freshwater (near The Fruit Farm). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Wednesday 3 February Friday 5 February for ditch clearance works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
BEMBRIDGE:
Kings Road (outside The Ruskins) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Monday 22 February and Wednesday 24 February for manhole works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
GODSHILL:
A3020 Newport Road (from Munsley Farm Lane to Worsley Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 29 February and Wednesday 9 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Shanklin Road (outside Sandford Farm). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 0900 hours until 1600 hours on Friday 5 February 2016 for tree cutting works by Ben Riches. Some traffic delays are likely.
HAVENSTREET:
Stroud Wood Road (various locations Newnham Road to Carters Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on Tuesday 19 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion. Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Winchester House to Cemetery Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Monday 9 May and Friday 13 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3056 Newport Road (outside superstore). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 28 January and Tuesday 2 February 2016 for traffic light replacement works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3054 Parkhurst Road (outside number 8 HSS Hire). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day between Wednesday 3 February and Friday 5 February 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Albany Road (various locations from near Banner Lane to Whitesmith Road, Hunnyhill Primary School to outside 59 & 65). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 15 February and Friday 19 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Whitepit Lane will be closed from 9.30am until 4pm on Monday 1 February 2016 from Winston Road to Elm Grove. The route for diverted though traffic will be: Whitepit Lane, Cedar Hill, Carisbrooke Road High Street, Coppins Bridge, St Georges Way and Shide Road. Local traffic diversions will be signposted. The road closure is for carriageway repairs outside numbers 3, 7 and 11 by Islands Roads.
A3020 Medina Way (slip Road to Riverway and Coppins Bridge Roundabout). Temporary lane closures will be in operation on the evenings of Wednesday 3 February and Thursday 4 February 2016 from 7.30pm until 11pm for lining works by Island Roads. Some traffic delays are likely.
A3020 Cowes Road (various locations from Stag Lane to Chawton Lane). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on each day from 7.30pm until 6.30pm on Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 5 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Parkhurst Road (various locations from St Marys Roundabout to Clissold Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on each day from 7.30pm until 6.30pm on Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 5 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3020 Horsebridge Hill (various locations from Clissold Road to Stag Lane). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on each day from 7.30pm until 6.30pm on Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 5 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3054 Forest Road (from a point 886 metres to 1,167 metres to the east of Gunville Road junction. Clatterford Road (outside 28) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Wednesday 3 February and Friday 5 February 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NORTHWOOD:
A3020 Newport Road (various locations from Chawton Lane to Nodes Road). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on each day from 7.30pm until 6.30pm on Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 5 February 2016 for carriageway coring works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ROOKLEY
Niton Road will be closed on each day from 9am until 3,30pm between Monday 1 February and Friday 5 February 2016 from Harts Lane to Chequers Inn Road. The diversion route will be: A3020 Main Road and Newport Road, West Street, Whitwell Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, Newport Road and Niton Road. The closure is for tree cutting works by Island Roads
RYDE:
A3054 Binstead Road (outside Gwdyr House and Gwyyr Close). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on each day between Wednesday 10 February and Friday 12 February for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Appley Lane (from Ryde Inshore Rescue Station to gate by Appley Upper Car Park). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Tuesday 2 February until 4pm on Saturday 6 February 2016 for carriageway survey works by Island Roads. Some traffic delays may occur
Spencer Road will be closed from 8am on Friday 22 January unit approx. 4.30pm on Friday 18 March 2016 between Buckingham Road and St Thomas Street. The route for diverted traffic will be: eastbound: Spencer Road, West Street, Lind Street and St Thomas Street and westbound; St Thomas Street, Lind Street, St Thomas Square, High Street, Garfield Road, Victoria Street, John Street and West Street. The closure is for gas main replacement works.
Harding Shute will be closed on one day from 9am until 4pm between Friday 29 January 2016 and Tuesday 2 February 2016 from A3055 Beaper Shute to its West Lane. The alternative route for vehicles will be; A3055 Beaper Shute and Rowborough Lane, Coach Lane and West Lane. The closure is for carriageway repair works on one day during the above dates.
Arthur Street will be closed on one day between 9.30am and 4pm between Monday 1 February 2016 and Wednesday 3 February 2016 from Pellhurst Road to West Street. The route for diverted traffic will be: Pellhurst Road, Argyll Street and West Street. The road closure is for carriageway repairs outside numbers 50, 56, 96 and 100 by Island Roads.
Ashey Road (from Brading Down Road to East Ashey Lane). A Temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be in operation for about two to three weeks between 0630hrs on Monday 1/2/16 and 2300hrs on Saturday 12/3/16 from Brading Down Road to East Ashey Lane from to unable safety barrier works to be undertaken by Island Roads. Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation.
SHANKLIN:
Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park.
The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
A3055 Sandown Road (from Alresford Road for approx. 300 metres towards Lake). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 7.30pm until 7am on each night (Mondays to Fridays- not Bank holiday Monday 2 May 2016) between Thursday 21 April and Monday 9 May 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
James Avenue (Chelsfield Road to James Avenue). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Thursday 10 March and Monday 21 March 2016 for footway works by Island Roads.

A3020 Victoria Avenue (outside 85). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times from 9am until 3.30pm on Thursday 4 February 2016 for cable works by British Telecom. Traffic delays will occur.

Landguard Manor Road (from Green Lane to Witbank Gardens)). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day (Mondays to Fridays) between Tuesday 22 March and Monday 4 April 2016 for footway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Cyclists and Equestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell Road, Ventnor Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, High Street (Niton), Institute Hill, Barrack Shute and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
TOTLAND:
Weston Road will be closed on one day between 9.30am and 4pm from Monday 1 February 2016 until Wednesday 3 February 2016 from Summers Lane to its Moons Hill. The route for diverted traffic will be: Summers Lane, Middleton and Moons Hill. The road closure is for carriageway repairs outside Chequers to Weston Rose by Island Roads.
VENTNOR:
High Street will be closed from 9.30am until 4pm on Monday 1 February 2016 between Church Street and Marlborough Road. The route for diverted traffic will be: Church Street, Alpine Road, Zig Zag Road, Castle Road, Gills Cliff Road, Ocean View Road, Mitchell Avenue and Spring Hill. The road closure is for carriageway repair works by Island Roads.
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken. The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. 1 April 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
A3055 Trinity Road (outside Trinity Church). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 4.30pm on Wednesday 27 January until 3.30pm on Monday 1 February 2016 for emergency gas main repair works by Southern Gas Networks.
B3327 Newport Road, Ventnor will be closed from Monday 4 February until Sunday 13 March 2016 between Down Lane and Gills Cliff Road / Ocean View Road.
The road closure is for Geotechnical carriageway works by Island Roads. The route for diverted traffic will be: B3327 Ocean View Road, Mitchell Avenue and St Boniface Road, A3055 Leeson Road, Bonchurch Road, Cowleaze Hill, Church Road and High Street (Shanklin), A3020 Victoria Avenue, Godshill Road, B3327 St Johns Road, High Street (Wroxall), Clarence Road and Newport Road.
Traffic from Newport to Ventnor should use: A3020 to Godshill, West Street, Whitwell Road, High Street (Whitwell), Ventnor Road, Whitwell Road and Gills Cliff Road.
WHIPPINGHAM:
Public Footpath N214 will be closed from Crematorium Road to Public Footpath N114 between 9am on Wednesday 5 August 2015 and 9am on Friday 26 February 2016
The closure is required until urgent repair works have been undertaken to B171 Whippingham Cattle Creep. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Crematoriums Road, A3054 Lushington Hill, Racecourse and Fairlee Road.
WOOTTON:
A3054 Kite Hill (at Wootton Bridge). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation again from the evening on Sunday 3 January 2016 until approx. 7pm on Friday 19 February 2016 due to bridge strengthening works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur. Motorists travelling between Newport and Ryde are advised to use an alternative route, if possible during the works such as via Long Lane, The Downs Road and Ashey Road. Mill Square will also be closed during the above dates from the South-eastern junction with A3054 High Street to a point 18 metres to the North West of A3054 High Street. The alternative route for vehicles will be; Mill Square and A3054 High Street. The road closure is necessary whilst bridge works are undertaken.
The Public Slipway will be closed at Mill Square near to the South-eastern junction with A3054 High Street during the same times.
