Powerlifting women’s sights are set on UK and Euro championships

A group of woman from the Isle of Wight have recently not only qualified for the British Powerlifting Championships, but have also been invited to take part in the European Powerlifting Championships this summer.

Jo Case has been in touch with OnTheWight to see if our readers can help with their appeal.

She says,

“We all train at The Strong Room in Cowes. We’re regular, everyday women with children and jobs of all ages, shapes and sizes who share a love of lifting and smashing our goals!

“Our trainer Scott Byrne, has helped each and everyone of us to meet our own fitness and strength goals giving us both motivation and confidence.”

Travel and equipment costs
Jo says they are fundraising to help send the women on their way to meet their dream of competing,

“Both competitions are in the UK and equipment and travel is needed to put these powerlifting chicks from the Isle of Wight on the map.”

They are hoping to raise £500 to cover the costs.
