Parents of pupils at St Francis Primary School in Ventnor say their children were told to hurry straight home on Wednesday afternoon following reports to the school of a ‘flasher’ in the area.
This ‘flasher’ had reportedly been seen by a member of the public near the Spar shop on Newport Road at around 2.30pm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed to OnTheWight that officers had been sent and checked the area, but they found nothing.
It has been said locally today that a man with his shirt off and wearing tan coloured trousers was probably mistaken for being the ‘flasher’.
